Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use the Brookfield for Community Use website. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
This website partly meets those guidelines. We have not found anything that stops you using it, but we cannot promise there is nothing.
What works well
- Every page has a main heading, a skip link and clearly marked sections, so you can move through it with a keyboard or a screen reader.
- Text and background colours are checked so that text is easy to read, at least 4.5 to 1 contrast.
- Animations are small, and are switched off if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Every photo (5 on this website) has a written description for people who can't see it.
- There is a light and dark mode, and a button to switch between them.
What may not work well
- We use automated checking tools on the building blocks of this website, but we have not yet had every part tested by disabled people or an accessibility auditor.
- The photo descriptions are written by the people who run this website, so how helpful they are can vary.
- We link to other websites (forms.gle). We don't control how accessible they are.
