A long single-storey black-clad community hub at dusk, its lit windows showing people sitting at tables inside, with string lights along the roof, a lawn and picnic benches outside, and a sign.

Keep Brookfield Hall in community use

Our vision

A hall that works for everyone

We are exploring whether Brookfield Hall can become a thriving, community-owned space. This is the kind of place we would love it to be.

  • A welcoming hub for local groups and activities
  • Creative workshops and family sessions
  • Wellbeing support
  • Community meals and events
  • A place for older residents
  • Youth activities
  • Affordable space to hire

Campaign update

Where things stand

No community ownership or management arrangement has been agreed yet, but the campaign goes on, and every voice helps.

  1. Brookfield Hall removed from auction Completed

The hall has been taken off the auction listing.

  2. Community Asset Transfer proposal Completed

Our proposal to transfer the hall to the community was rejected.

  3. Asset of Community Value nomination In progress

Our nomination is still being considered by Cheshire East Council.

  4. Agree a community arrangement for the hall

We want to find a way for the community to own or run the hall.
